Home - Main floor

The great room has a gorgeous rock fireplace with a built-in alcove for wood. The stones are from the base of Chief Joseph Mountain and the stonework was done by a master stonemason who worked on the Cathedral of St. John the Devine in NYC and Westminster Abbey in London. The wrought iron doors on the fireplace were hand forged by local artist Chuck Fraser. The wood floors on the main floor are tamarack, milled from trees from the slopes of Chief Joseph Mountain. The great room is open to the dining room and atrium doors lead out to the slate patio.

The kitchen has tamarack wood cabinets and floors, a breakfast island and a pantry. Most of the appliances were replaced in 2007, and the Sub-Zero refrigerator was new in 2015. There are two Kitchen Aid wall ovens with bread proofing. The kitchen is open to the dining room and to a cozy family room with a free standing soapstone wood stove and a built-in entertainment center.

The master bedroom suite is located on the main floor, with atrium doors from the living room and out to the back patio. It has a beautiful rock fireplace, vaulted ceilings and a walk-in closet with Elfa shelving/drawer system. This area has wall-to-wall carpets. The view of the mountains is just amazing. You can hear the river running in the spring. 

The large master bathroom has a gorgeous “Birthday Tub” and a separate tiled walk-in shower with two shower heads and a double sink vanity.

There are two large offices on the main floor with a private entry, built-in desks and book shelves and atrium doors between the two offices.

The utility room has a sink, washer and dryer and a lots of room for storage and a mud room with outside entrance. There is a half bath on the main floor with a Kohler pedestal sink and toilet.

Second floor

The second floor has a sitting room with built-in book shelves and storage and large corner windows with views of the mountains and the river. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor. One of the bedrooms has picture windows with views of mountains and river and a bathroom with a shower tub unit. The other two bedrooms both have high ceilings, window seats and share a bathroom with a shower, double sink and a huge linen closet.

Third floor

The third floor has bonus room currently used as a children’s playroom, with a wall painting of a large dragon by the local artist Steve Arment for sure to enchant the kids or grandkids!  There is a built-in day bed overlooking the river and under-eaves storage. This room could be used as a studio or office.


The basement has four rooms including a finished room with a closet, a cold room with a larder and two storage rooms; the finished room was used as a movie theater in the past.


There is a 864 sq.ft three-car detached garage with electric doors and a man door close to the back entry of the house.

There is a 2465 sq.ft multipurpose building with concrete floors and a 360 sq.ft finished heated shop area with large windows and vinyl floors. The building has a covered front porch, a bay door and a dog kennel. The adorable chicken house is 168 sq.ft.

There is a horse shed, closed on three sides, in a corral that used to be a large riding arena. This property could be a great equestrian facility!

There is a circular gravel driveway with separate driveway to the multipurpose building.

There is a fenced garden area with fruit trees and berry bushes. There are raised vegetable beds on the side yard, close to the kitchen.  Attached to the back of the house is a greenhouse with inside and outside access.
